Navigation & Positioning (N&P) is a Research Unit at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), a non-profit research institution based on Castelldefels (20 km South of Barcelona, Spain). This Research Unit aims to become a World-leading reference in bringing Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and microwave device technology to the people, either for scientific, business, or social endeavors.

Throughout the annals of scientific endeavor, researchers and scientists have exhibited an indomitable spirit of innovation, continually seeking to transcend the boundaries imposed by prevailing technological limitations. Central to this pursuit has been the inclination to design and fabricate their own bespoke measurement equipment, a testament to their unwavering commitment to advancing the frontiers of knowledge.

However, the transition from a nascent research sub-product to a commercially viable, marketable unit is a complex journey fraught with challenges. The intricacies of scaling, refining, and streamlining the fruits of scientific inquiry into tangible products demand a concerted effort that often lies beyond the core competencies of academia.

In light of this, our website emerges as a pivotal tool of the N&P Research Unit dedicated to facilitating the seamless transition of these pioneering research products into the commercial domain. By bridging the chasm between academia and industry, we aim to harness the transformative potential of research outcomes, rendering them accessible and beneficial to a wider audience.

With a commitment to fostering effective technology transfer, the Navigation & Positioning Research Unit at CTTC endeavors to empower researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs alike to harness the full potential of our research products, thus ushering in a new era of innovation, progress, and accessibility.
